Service tips & maintenance for your Golf Cart

ANNUAL SAFETY CHECK

  • You should have a complete general service annual check every year.  The importance of this cannot be stressed enough due to the safety factor and costly replaacement of rear ends from low oil, defective wiring in battery charges, etc.  Our charge is $39.95 to $49.95 and we will call with an estimate if other repairs are needed (this is not covered under warranty).
    Annual Maintenance Includes:
    1. Lubrication, greese all fitting and spray lube as needed.
    2. Check and repack front wheel bearings.
    3. Check and adjust toe-in alignment and camber of front wheels.
    4. Check steering free play.
    5. Load test and service batteries.
    6. Check headlights and tail lights if equipped.
    7. Check rear-end motor housing for loose bolts and leaks.
    8. Check brakes, clean and adjust as needed.
    9. Check tire inflation and adjust.

BATTERIES

  • Check your water lever every month.  DO NOT overfill batteries when car is fully charged and water level should just be covering the plates.  Use only distilled water.
  • Due to the possible leakage from overfilling, we suggest you put a mat under your cart.  Batteries should be kept clean of grass, dirt, mud, corrosion, or fertilizer with a garaden hose monthly.  Baking soda will neutralize corrosion.
  • When washing batteries, be careful not to soak motor or electrical components.

CHARGING

  • You should charge the cart after every round of golf.
  • Always leave your cart in neutral and remove the key when you are through for the day.  NEVER leave the cart in forward or reverse!!
TIRES

  • Air tire pressure is really up to you.  Most people have the best luck running at 25 lbs.  Recommended levels are 28-30 lbs.
  • It is very important to check with a gauge as often as you check your batteries.  You cannot tell by just looking at them.  Low tire pressure can cause your cart to slow down and puts added drain on the batteries and motor.
PDS-IQ CARTS
  • Your cart has a tow switch under your seat.  When you are done using the cart for the day, always put it in "tow".  Have it in "tow" when you are charging it as well
